Why it matters now
MSRA was the earliest serious research experience. Working on learning to rank and document retrieval at one of the world's top research labs planted the seeds for my later work in recommendation systems at Snap, search at USC/ISI, and the ML-systems intuition I bring to evaluating AI products today.
